Some Divine Insight and Encouragment
If we will just LISTEN to Him he will bless us so abundantly. God certainly does reward His faithful servants. And I know that for myself personally, because I have been through such a rough, rocky valley as I am sure you have too, that every little thing the Lord blesses us with – we really do appreciate it that much more. We become so humble and thankful in His merciful grace. God’s lessons are not easy ones by a long shot. Being a devote Christian and trying so hard to live daily for God is definitely not for the weak it takes a lot of fortitude, patience, and STUBBORNNESS. I know the Lord gifted me with this trait and it is one of my best attributes when I use it for His will. I am a firm believer that every gift the Lord gives us can either be a wonderful BLESSING or a horrendous CURSE. It just really depends on how we use our gifts. Now in my past, my stubbornness was my downfall a lot of the time. It mostly stemmed from my rebellious attitude and sheer ignorance. Whoever said Ignorance is Bliss…was… well, Ignorant. :-P
Another subject the Lord has laid upon my heart is as brothers and sisters in Christ, we are commanded to share one another’s burdens. We are to feel the sorrows and joys of our brethren. So, much of the time it really seems like the JOYS are too few. I suppose that just stems from us not verbally sharing all the “small” blessings that the Lord has given us, which we should be doing. Sharing the good is so important. We need to change our focus from the negative to the more positive INSPIRING and ENCOURAGING situations and GOOD THINGS that God gives us daily.
Unfortunately, we allow Satan to defeat us by letting him blind us from the blessings so we tend to lose them. When I say lose them I mean we get “the blessing” but miss out on the JOY that should go along with it. I think we could all use a little attitude adjustment, me included; and open our eyes SPIRITUALLY – have the eyes of Christ.
I know we have all heard the phase looking at the world through rose-colored glasses. We need to have Christ-filtered glasses. We should ask ourselves, what would Jesus’ perspective be in this situation?
I wonder. How many people would then emanate JESUS CHRIST for the entire world to see? I guess the bigger question is, do you?
Hope this is thought provoking and encourages you to live for CHRIST always in everything that you do. Strive daily to be the best Christian you can be. That is all that He asks us to do.
In His Love,
FaithfulDestiny
